Tasveer proudly presents TSAFF mascot for 2022. To mark the 20th anniversary of Tasveer, we were inspired to look back at the organization's legacy of social justice and LGBTQIA+ storytelling, and also look beyond the gender binary to celebrate the rich history of non-binary identity in South Asian countries.

Our festival artwork this year is #unapologeticallySouthAsian, challenging heteronormativity and embracing real representation. We'd like to thank all the filmmakers, community members, artists, and activists who have been a part of our journey to #20yearsofTasveer. We invite you to join us at the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival from November 3-20, 2022.

Seattle became the first city in the US to ban discrimination on the basis of caste.
Tasveer's Executive Director @ritameher, an Adivasi herself, was there to make the first in-person remark. Adivasi (ST) is the indigenous tribal community of India that also face caste discrimination in India.
A big moment for us to celebrate this reinforcement of our values as we continue our work for equity and inclusion for all marginalized communities.
