The documentary addresses a number of subjects: the state of Afghanistan two years after the fall of the Taliban, the expansion of the drug economy, the continuing landmine problem that has persisted in the country since the Soviet intervention in the early 80s. By the end of the documentary, audiences will have taken a tour of Central and Northern Afghanistan, bearing witness to the struggle and resilience of the people in Afghanistan after the Taliban. Azimi's narration provides the important perspective of the young Afghan American.

Waise Azimi, Afghan American student, gained the opportunity to document Afghanistan two years after the fall of Taliban.

Film: Three Dots 'Seh Noqta'
Directed By: Roya Sadat
Origin: Afghanistan, 2004
Description: Farsi w/ English Subtitles, 60 minutes

The hour long narrative film depicts the life and drama of a young widow, Gul Afrooz, living in a village in northwestern Afghanistan. The warlord in control forces her to smuggle drugs into Iran. She is caught and arrested. With its meticulous and quiet imagery, this film depicts the influence Iranian cinema.

Sadat, only 25, studied books on drama and moviemaking during the reign of the Taliban. When Siddiq Barmak was directing Osama in Afghanistan, he met Sadat and decided to support her film projects.
