Unfortunately, I only got to see the films that played over the weekend and my favourite was the Nancy by Night and Nalini by Day film. I think the filmmaker has a wonderful sense of humor and great sense of story-telling. The pacing was perfect and the film was edgy and upbeat. I laughed so hard at the animation in the beginning. I wish I could have seen the films that screened earlier during the week. Any chance of having two screenings of each film in next year's festival. That way if we cannot make it for one screening time at least we can make it for the other. Also, I loved the chaat. Thanks for arranging for food this year. I had a good time.

RAHUL DAS, DIR: 'INDIA SPICELAND' : 9/14
Independent Filmmaking is such a difficult proposition- yet we stick to it because of our passion. On behalf of my cast and crew, I thank the festival organizers and sponsors once again for providing the venue to showcase our film. And to everyone out there- please try and come to the screening of 'India Spiceland' on Fri (9/16) at 9:30pm. THANK YOU!

I was able to view all of the presentations at the "Launch Party",and each and everyone was not only very interesting but very entertaining. The film "Trip" while dated in terms of technology seemed just as relevant now as ever, in the manor of showing urban activity as if it might be viewed from the perspective of a foreign species from above. I'm looking forward to seeing The Wind Bird "Sulang Kirilli". and hope to see others films as well. Looking Forward to it all, and an annual continuation.
VALERIE COSTA : 8/25

Hi Chetna, The festival sounds fantastic. I'm in NY and heard about it on a listserv for south asian women's advocates. I remember the last one in Seattle was really great- I hear that this year it will be even better. This is a wonderful service you guys are doing for the community. I've told all my friends in Seattle about it! Good luck! Shivali Shah
JAMES PAZHAVILA : 8/20
Thanks for expanding the public conciousness about South Asia beyond Bollywood & curry! The films that are screened go a long way towards erasing hollow stereotypes, and establishing much-needed humanity through the cinematic eye. Last year was simply amazing, and I know this year is going to top it ten times over! Cheers!
AMLAN MUKHERJEE : 8/20
Way to go guys! Keep it up. The movie spread looks very interesting indeed.
CHETNA BAIL : 8/19
This festival will continue to blow winds of change through the cultural fabric of the Northwest year after year and I am really happy to be a part of it this year. I am looking forward to the movies about Globalization and Outsourcing at 12pm on Sunday (Sept 18, 2005) as this issue deeply impacts my work and the world I live in.
ANGIE PAZHAVILA : 8/19
I can't wait to attend the Festival Launch Party, not only because it is going to be a lot of fun, but because it is a once-a-year opportunity. Also, I am especially looking forward to watching "Travellers and Magicians" on September 14th, because it is Bhutan's first feature length film and it looks extremely interesting.
KULDEEP MISRI : 8/19
The website is shaping up really well, and the films on the schedule look great. Speaking of schedule, nice touch with the scrolling film effect. Great job, Tasveer. See you at the launch party.
